I'll be getting it on launch. I already started saving up for it. I just hope that I can pre-order it, I really don't feel like waiting in line for it like I had to with the Wii.
ha thats quite understandable , i couldnt find a wii for a few months after launch i sure as hell dont want to stand in those long ass lines just for them to say they are out.
If you'd rather watch the Nintendo Direct presentation rather than read it, it's available to watch right here. I hope you enjoyed Nintendo's Pre-E3 Wii U announcement, we'll see more about the Wii U and it's games at their E3 press conference on Tuesday!
Wii U controller's official name is Wii U GamePad, it now has control sticks which are clickable along with a redesigned back for more comfort.
The square to the left of the screen is the NFC Reader / Writer. The Wii U GamePad will also become a fully fledged TV controller. Along with an in-built Gyro Sensor and Motion Sensor.
The Wii U will support all previous Wii controllers along with the new Wii U Pro Controller:
You can ask a global community for help, alot like a Forum, with a game via the Wii U pad and a smart phone and you can also phone random people over the internet to get inside tips from them face-to-face of sorts.
The new Wii U home screen is called Mii Wara Wara.
This will show your Mii, your friend's Mii's and other people Mii's who are enjoying a particularly game along with their messages about that game. The "Wii U GamePad is a social window."
Announced a new Miiverse along with a brand new Mario title which you can see in the short clip below:
Wii U's Miiverse means even single player games will feel connected online. Miiverse will "eventually be possible" away from the Wii U - via mobile, web etc. Miiverse is designed for Wii U, 3DS and future Nintendo devices.
Even when you're playing by yourself, the Miiverse will connect you with other players around the world and your family.
Wii U's concept is "together, better"
Wii U will let you share your GamePad browsing with the TV. The browser will let you close a curtain on the TV so your browsing is personal, then you push it towards the TV and the curtains open to show the page on the TV screen!
Everything I've seen so far has been really looking spectacular. It looks like Nintendo is really looking to kick it up a notch on the WiiU. Looking forward to the rest of yhe conference today.
The Miiverse feature look astonishing! Im so pumped for the Wii U now! I might sell my wii to get some money for the Wii U, since the Wii U plays Wiii games. Thanks for posting Demon
I still believe the Wii U is just a HD DS... I'm just still not sold on the console, it has a lot going for it, but all the games I've seen for it are just boring or are ports from a previous instalment from the 360 or PS3.
It's not really getting any new games and ZombiU is just a reboot of Ubisoft's first game Zombi. Hmm...
I'll buy a Wii U when I actually see something I like, as of right now, no sale.
The ones that I'm interested in are Mario, Batman, Assassins Creed, and ZombieU. Mario is a a for sure, and I hope ZombieU gets good reviews because I always enjoy a good survival-horror game.
