AC/DC converter charger

Could I safely use an ac/dc converter charger with my car charger for the 3ds? It say's can be used with any phone. If that helps.

edit: The converter charger is from Wireless Gear. Says input: 90v-240v, 50-60hz 120mA. outputdc:12v. max 300mA.

I left my plug at a friends.
