Trying a new layout...

SunnyD mentioned a month or so ago that maybe a brighter and cleaner looking forum would be nicer for everyone to use so that's exactly what I've been working on: http://g4ltestforum.forumotion.co.uk/

I haven't put in much from this site into that one as it's mainly for designing the forum and to see what will work and what looks plain awful. I'm not trying to annoy anyone with these constant changes, but I have to agree with Sunny that the current design with all the black and blue is rather depressing...

I'd like to read your thoughts and to see which one you guys prefer.

Okay, so my computer was an ass... okay fine, I mucked up and put the code in the wrong text area, I meant to put it into the G4L Test Forum instead but I got the two muddled up and well as you can see, it's changed the layout of the forum. I was about to change it back but I didn't save the previous CSS code so it mucked up and wasn't showing properly so I'm guessing we're stuck with this... a sexier, brighter, cleaner forum to look at. :P

Also, as some may notice there is no background... yet, it seems to make the site look a lot cleaner and more inviting so hopefully it'll attract more fresh blood people to join our clan as it looks like a nicer play to be.

Well I hope you enjoy it after my mess up... ah well, whatever... at least I didn't delete the forum, look on the bright side. :P

Bummer, but I'll be honest the forum looks really bad.

How does it look bad? It looks perfectly fine on my 3DS, Wii and computer... unless you're talking about the design which I think looks perfectly fine as it is.

And since we're being honest here... WiiWareWave is a mess in my opinion, it's cluttered with so much crap. It looks like unkept hair, no one likes it and no one wants to see it.

Oh and by the way, the design is working on the same as yours, so I guess you said yours is really bad too huh?

Yeah....oh but I do like the new version of the popup chatbox. ;)

Well, since I mucked up and released it early I suppose I should ask for everyone's opinions on what they think of the design. Is it god awful, is it beautiful or do you wish the old design would come back? :P

It's brighter now like NL nation used to be. I sort of like it as a throw back.

Like it pays a homage to the once and supreme forum of all time - which has now collapsed due to spam - and which rises anew as a spiritual sequel known as the supreme lords of all time... the Gamers 4 Life. I don't know what I was thinking when I typed that up, but okay... whatever...

Moving swiftly on... I've removed the Shoutbox off the main page and set it up as a pop-up instead since it was causing some JavaScript to be running strangely. So now you can find the Pop-up link under this banner: Gamers 4 Life - The World's Best Clan!. :3

EDIT: Also, everything is curvy... I mean seriously, who doesn't love curves? <3

I much prefer this brighter color scheme. I just think there needs to be more color(s). Also, I think the previous icons were more attractive. editing...

Also, when you mean the previous icons, do you mean those green and black ones? Unfortunately I lost the URLs due to the early switch and I didn't get to save the URLs. However, I find the current ones look a lot cleaner and crisper, but if everyone wants new buttons...

I just think the forums appear overly uniformed in design and color. Don't you think sections of the forum should be a little more distinguishable, if you know what I mean. Everything just seems to mesh together, and it can feel a bit confusing.
